You have arrived at the web site of artist Mary L. Davis, NHS, T.W.S., of Houston, Texas. Mary learned to paint when she was very young. That youthful free spirit struggles to live on and finds its freedom from the past and the future in art and her art buddies.
Mary took a recess from her art to go through relationships and have very special children. Finally, fate lead her to the right guy and she again found her artistic spirit. This web site shares that new-found spirit and her zest for life. It also shares glimpses into the dark side of her past and her frustration with those forces that oppose the good and fair side of spirituality.
Mary is the featured artist throughout the month of August, 2010 at Archway Gallery. The exhibit Unexpected can be viewed during gallery hours (Monday -Saturday 10-6pm, Sunday 1-5pm) through September 2. The gallery is located at 2305 Dunlavy, Houston, Texas 77006. Winner Watercolor U.S.A. 2010 & Accepted into Watercolor Honor Society |

May 2010: Mary's painting "Shattered Glass" won an award at Watercolor U.S.A. 2010. Additionally the painting was selected by a patron and purchased. Because of that achievement she was invited to join Water Color U.S.A. Honor Society and is now a signature member.
Shattered Glass, her painting, will be on exhibit at the
Springfield Art Museum, Springfield, Missouri, June 12 through August 8, 2010.

in January, 2010, Mary's painting "Faces of Turmoil" below was selected by the Texas Watercolor Society for their 61st Annual Exhibition in April in Rockport, Texas. This selection also won her Signature Status with the Texas Watercolor Society.
"Faces of Turmoil" also won the Merchandise Awards provided by M Graham Watercolor Paints--one of the the largest dollar valued awards--in the Watercolor Art Society-Houston's 40th Annual Members Exhibit.
